New Forest Aviation

Today, there is little to see of most of the 12 airfields that were located in the New Forest during World War 2. It can be hard to imagine the hive of activity during the preparations for D-Day when many thousand personnel were based in the New Forest airfields. Some airfields were only operational for a few months.
