New Forest and Burley Shows

Thank you to any member of the group who took the time to visit our stand at the New Forest and Burley Show; it was good to chat.

A lot of leaflets were handed out, and some good conversations took place. Hopefully this will lead to visits to our centre.

My personal thanks to volunteers and board members, who joined me to man the stand.

The New Forest Show is good for the sheer number of people who visit the stand and for networking with other organisations.

However, as for the Burley Show, there are not many shows with a manor house in the background.

Also, there are not many shows held on fields which, telling by the droppings, have recently been occupied by deer.

The show, although not large really, has a wonderful, intimate and happy atmosphere.

As you can see, we were next to the brass band.

I do not know if it was just a coincidence, but considering the aircraft connection of FONFA, it was a surprise when they started with the introduction theme from the well-known 1969 “Battle of Britain” film.
