Buckler’s Hard Wartime Weekend Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June

The weekend went well for FONFA with our Stand being very busy.

Our New Airfields Sales of our New Airfields Guide Went well as did our fundraising raffle.

The weekend was as a free public event celebrating the New Forest and Beaulieu River’s role during the Second World War –

Visitors had the rare opportunity to step aboard HMS Medusa, pictured below, a surviving World War II Harbour Defence Motor Launch which was moored on the river for the weekend.

Alongside this there were guest speaker talks, a wartime play, exhibitor stands, wartime displays, military vehicles and demonstrations from the Portsmouth Model Boat and Armoured vehicle Display Team.
