Southbourne Armed Forces Weekend 27th& 28th June
FONFA attended the Southbourne Armed Forces Weekend on 27th& 28th June as part of the History Hub.
It was good talking to people and hopefully will lead to them visiting the centre. We explained the local area’s Aviation involvement in WW2 .
This included Christchurch & Hurn(Now Bournemouth International Airport) Airfields and the development in airborne and ground radar at Christchurch.
The weekend had a wide selection of entertainment as can be seen on the poster.
We were lucky to be near a very good lady singer Miss Lisa Locarno.
