Memorial Fence renewal thank you
Dear All
We have renewed the wooden fence on either side of our memorial.

After 24 years the fence was not in a good state and brambles had taken over the RHS, as you can see by the photo on the left. The rest of the fence was also showing its age.
FONFA was only able to do this because we the funds available. We only had the funds available because members of FONFA and others paid to entre our Heritage centre became members ,purchased from our shop and bought tea/coffee and cake in our tearoom.
Also, because members of FONFA and others visited our stand at events bought merchandise, entered our raffle or gave a generous donation in our rattle cans.
Thanks, must also go to Martin Bailey ,the son of Bernard the builder of the memorial who carried out the work.

Here we see Bernard at work on the original memorial
Finally, thanks must go for a very generous donation from the USA by the daughter of pilot whose final flight was from Stoney Cross Airfield.

Mo Crossen at Stoney Cross.
